Installation energy resilience master plan, depot and arsenal facilities
This master plan establishes energy resilience objectives for depot and arsenal facilities through fiscal year 2030. Each installation is assessed against a fourteen-day critical mission load requirement, with backup generation, thermal storage, and islanding capability evaluated as a combined portfolio rather than as separate line items.
Microgrid feasibility studies completed between 2022 and 2024 covered eleven installations. Nine studies concluded that a partial microgrid serving designated critical facilities is achievable within existing distribution infrastructure. Two studies recommended distribution upgrades in advance of any islanding capability, on the basis of feeder age rather than load growth.
Metered consumption data supporting these findings is published in the annual energy report and is releasable in full. No portion of this plan was withheld: the record is released in its entirety.
